"Late Monday night [July 10], the Eugene City Council voted unanimously to repeal a ban on fossil fuel infrastructure in new low-rise residential buildings, a ban originally passed in February. So why the sudden change?"

On June 27, a group of community leaders joined us in expressing concern to local media over a gas ban in Eugene. 

"The Eugene City Council didn’t want voters to decide whether the city should ban natural gas hookups in new homes. It wasn’t a question for them to resolve, the council concluded. Unfortunately, the council majority failed to realize that it wasn’t something they should determine either."
